Bethlehem & Sad Patrick

Bethlehem and Sad Patrick combine soul, jazz, folk, vocals, guitar and percussion to deliver powerful songs on universal themes - the struggles of modern society, life in the city, and love and heartbreak. Hailed by WXPN's John Vetesse for their "focused minimalism and poetic lyrics, slick guitar, soaring vocals and nuanced melodies", the Philadelphia duo releases 2016's "Did You Ever Do?", a polished set showcasing their skills in the studio realm. But they are best experienced in person, with raw energy, solitary guitar, hand and foot percussion, and direct, heartfelt vocals. This year that's what they've been concentrating on, playing events like the Philadelphia Folk Festival, the State Street Blues Stroll, the Heartwood Music Festival, and the Ladybug Music Festival. When not performing, they've been writing and polishing songs for a record they hope to record in the fall, tentatively titled "Love and Other Struggles".
