All PFS Members are welcome to join board meetings via Zoom, watch as the board provides updates on the state of the Philadelphia FolkSong Society, and ask questions to the board at the end of the meeting.

Eric Ring, President
Eric is an attorney who practices in tax law, business law, and probate. He is a graduate of Temple University Law School and has a Masters’ in tax law (JD/LLM). He has volunteered at PFF for over 20 years. He is one of the authors of the “Smiling Banjo” book, “A photographic history of 50 years of the Philadelphia Folk Festival.” Eric is also an accomplished photographer.
Rob Kutzik, Vice President
Rob has 30+ yrs in nonprofits as Executive Director, Director of Donor Relations & more. His expertise includes fundraising, marketing & sales, and new initiatives. A prolific songwriter and leader in PASA and PFS/MAC, he’s attended 40+ Fests, performing multiple times. As PFS board member, he conceived the True Believer Campaign and Gene Shay/Founders’ Event.
Eric Robbins, Treasurer
Eric is a CPA with over 25 years’ experience auditing not-for-profit organizations. He advises BODs on accounting, tax issues, govt. regulations, and effective controls over financial reporting. Eric is Treasurer of PFS, heads up the Finance Committee, and has volunteered for and attended PFF for over 30 years.
Jess Hull Meyers, Secretary
Jess was a board representative for the PFS Marketing Committee in 2024. She has PFF leadership experiences as co-chair of Society Outreach in 2025 and assistant chair of the Main Gate Committee from 2018–2024.
Jess has over 18 years of experience as a school administrator, educational specialist, and special education teacher. She brings a strong foundation in community-building and organizational leadership. As a mother, she is deeply committed to nurturing our youth and growing the future of folk music and expression.
Cheryl Tocket, Director
A recently retired middle school teacher, Cheryl currently works at a living history farm in New Jersey, milking cows, planting crops, and teaching summer day camps. She is an avid photographer and traveler. Having joined the Philadelphia Folksong Society in 2018 she has served as both Assistant Chairperson and Chairperson for the Green Room at the Philadelphia Folk Festival. Cheryl looks forward to assisting the society grow and continue for many years to come.
Joe Henderson, Director
Joe has attended Fest for more than 30 years. He is an entrepreneurial executive, starting companies and fixing broken ones. He is working to secure major sponsorships for PFF, working to draw younger audiences, and to improve sponsorships. He is a Certified Management Consultant with expertise in grant administration, strategic planning, and nonprofit administration.
Lisa Chosed, Director
An experienced higher education administrator, Lisa serves as Director of the office of Academic Affairs for a university. Over the last 19 years, she has held a variety of roles in higher education. A member of PFS since 2015, she is also a singer-songwriter, performer, and photographer with experience in organizing, booking, and hosting music and arts events.
Barry Rabin, Director
Barry is a singer/songwriter, practicing attorney, and 30+ year member of the Philadelphia Folksong Society. He has attended PFF for decades and played there multiple times.
His priorities will be to help ensure continued financial viability for PFF and PFS, help to attract a younger audience and continue PFS’s support for the Musical Artists Cooperative and other efforts that support home-grown musicians & songwriters.
Nancy Schwartz, Director
Nancy is a marketing professional who has dedicated her career to helping businesses & organizations achieve success. She is a graduate of Temple University, was a festival Camping Committee volunteer and now leads marketing for PFF and PFS.
She will be an ear and a voice that identifies marketing strategies to help the Philadelphia Folksong Society focus on the future of folk music while respecting the traditions of the past.
