Terry Kitchen & Mara Levine

Called “one of the best singers of her generation” by Christine Lavin, songstress Mara Levine is known for creating beautiful original interpretations of songs from traditional to contemporary. Called "One of New England's best songwriters" by The Boston Globe, Boston based Terry Kitchen’s songs have won the Mid-Atlantic and USA Song Contests and been runner-up in the John Lennon Song Contest, and he has released 13 CDs of original folk music. Terry and Mara have been performing together since 2008, combining his guitar and songwriting skills with her exquisite vocals and ear for harmony, presenting Terry's compositions and original interpretations of traditional and contemporary folk and folk-rock songs. They released a duo EP and appear on five of each other's top charting solo albums, Mara's Facets of Folk (# 1 Jan 2019 FAI chart) and Jewels and Harmony (#1 Jan 2013 Folk DJ Chart) and Terry's CD's Next Time We Meet (#5 Feb 2020 FAI Chart,) The Quiet Places, ( # 22 Oct. 2017 Folk DJ chart,) and The Post American Century (#20 Sept. 2015 Folk DJ chart ). The duo has performed at venues including the Troubadour, the Hurdy Gurdy, Godfrey Daniels, the People's Voice Cafe, John Platt's On Your Radar series and the Falcon Ridge and South Florida folk festivals.
