PA-based violinist and singer-songwriter Rebecca Lang writes folk/Americana songs. Her songs are inspired by love and nature and by people who are often unseen and unheard. Her band Butter Queen Sister formed in 2016, and she currently plays with Chris Kennedy on guitar and mandolin. Lang's song, "Suns' Rays" was in the 2024 movie, Canary Black while she has more than ten published songs. Lang has played at numerous festivals and venues including; Three Rivers Arts Festival, TumbleWeed Folk Festival, The Kelly Center, World Cafe Live, The Folk Project, Some Kind of Jam Festival, The Philadelphia Folk Festival, Delaware Friends of Folk, WXPN Welcomes American Roots Ramble, Wilmington Winter Bluegrass, Rockwood Music Hall NYC, The Lansdowne Folk Club and more.
Radio appearances include Ray Naylor's Philly Folk Scene WPPM FM, the Folk Show WXPN with Ian Zolitor and Saturday Light Brigade Pittsburgh.
