Montgomery County’s Brian Huff developed his songwriting chops transcribing hundreds of classic tunes for the Phoenixville Area Acoustic Jam Group which he runs and hosts monthly at Catbird Gardens, his home performance venue since 2014. With a degree from Berklee College of Music and a long career in professional acoustics and audio/video systems design, Huff has solidified his long-simmering musical ambitions with a soon-to-be released album, "Aurora Borealis," recorded at Black Forest Sound Studio in Glenside, PA. The album’s beauty and impact rely on the stellar support of partner and harmony vocalist Mary DeAngelis, producer Kyle Swartzwelder, and session musicians Michael Ronstadt, Ryann Lynch, Ryan Snyder, Sam Nobles, and Tommy Geddes. Songs include the lilting title track and the heartfelt protest anthems “Star of Bethlehem” and “Angels Came to Texas.” When he’s not traveling or gigging, you can find Huff in the Philly suburbs where he runs a busy guitar repair and restoration workshop.
