“Mr. David” is a multi-talented entertainer whose “Drawings, Songs & Silliness” concerts creatively combine music, art and kid-friendly comedy. He delights audiences with a fun interactive mix of upbeat sing-alongs, super-sized sketches plus playful puppets and props. He has performed at countless schools, library and community events, including seven times at the Philadelphia Folk Festival. David is a former artist-in-residence at the Please Touch Museum, has sung his songs on WXPN’s Kids Corner, received national airplay on the Dr. Demento Show, and is Co-coordinator of the Children’s Music Network Mid-Atlantic Region. He also draws caricatures and leads cartooning workshops

“Mr. David” is a multi-talented entertainer whose “Drawings, Songs & Silliness” concerts creatively combine music, art and kid-friendly comedy. Clad in his spinning propeller hat and armed with his star-studded guitar, he delights audiences with a fun interactive mix of upbeat sing-alongs, super-sized sketches (some drawn on the spot) plus playful puppets and props. His repertoire includes clever originals and unique twists on popular favorites. David has performed at hundreds of schools, camps, libraries and special events. He has appeared at the Philadelphia Folk Festival seven times – and many families in this community know him as the popular perennial host of the Kids Open Stage at Spring Thing and Fall Fling David is a former artist-in-residence at the Please Touch Museum, has sung his songs live on WXPN’s popular Kids Corner radio program and received national airplay on the Dr. Demento Show. He has done several live half-hour television programs for BCTV and has adapted many of his songs into delightful videos. For many years, he has served as Co-coordinator of the Children’s Music Network (CMN) Mid-Atlantic Region. In his role as a visual artist, David conducts cartooning workshops for older kids, and draws thematic caricature portraits for people of all ages. For “grown-up” audiences, David allows his “inner adult” to shine as half of the musical duo Winchester Perry, in partnership with his wife Christine Winchester. They write and perform original songs that range from romantic to satirical to inspirational.
