Winchester/Perry (Christine Winchester and David C. Perry) are a married couple who write and perform original material, occasionally sprinkling in their interpretations of better-known folk/pop tunes. Christine plays guitar and keyboards and sings her songs with beauty, power and expression reflective of her background in theater. David plays guitar, harmonica and percussion and brings a whimsical and wistful sensibility honed through being a children's entertainer. They have performed live at a variety of venues and had their songs played on radio and featured on several recordings. Expect a range of tempo and tone, from sublime (Christine) to ridiculous (David).

Winchester/Perry, the husband-and-wife duo of Christine Winchester and David C. Perry, performs original material, along with unique interpretations of well-known tunes. Their repertoire has a dynamic range, from the sublime (usually Christine’s contributions) to the ridiculous (generally, from David), served up with an engaging stage presence that invites the audience to come along for the ride.
A Winchester/Perry set of music includes joyous anthems of love and community, clever parodies, as well as hard-hitting subject matter that will make you think, and maybe even cry. Christine sings her songs with power and expression, reflective of her musical theatrical training. While David brings an optimistic, childlike, and sometimes silly energy, spilling over from his “day job” as a children’s entertainer.
They met in the early 1990’s, performing separately (with other bands) at the Folk Factory Coffeehouse (Mt. Airy, Philadelphia). They went on to become winners of the Folk Factory’s People’s Choice Award – and each other’s personal choice as marriage partners and musical partners! Over the years, they have appeared at house concerts, coffeehouses, and festivals, sometimes accompanied by a bass player. Their studio recordings have gotten radio airplay and have been featured on multiple compilation albums.
Christine co-chairs the Philadelphia Area Songwriters Alliance and is a residential REALTOR, since 2004. As a solo singer/songwriter, she enjoys performing pop songs from the 1970’s to the 2000’s and has been self-producing her original material since 2021. Watch for a new release in 2025!
