The three seasoned performers who comprise the Old Sea Cats have performed in many different kinds of bands around the Philly music scene. But they always receive a great response when they take on their seafaring material. The Old Sea Cats are Art Cohen on acoustic guitar and singing bass, Rob Lincoln, who mostly plays violin and sings the high harmonies & Steve Lessick who is primarily on percussion and lead vocals. Performing both a-cappella and with minimal instrumentation, together they present old and new sea shanties and maritime related songs. A highly energetic and engaging trio, their material consists of traditional shanties, Irish/Celtic classics, and originals from Rob Lincoln as well as from folk music greats like Andy M. Stewart (of Silly Wizard Fame) and Stan Rogers.
