THE COLLECTIVE weaves a rich tapestry of original roots music, blending Americana, Blues, Folk, and World rhythms that transcend traditional genres. The band features Rob Calarco on drums, Bob Veith on bass, Jay Rice on guitar, Greg Brady on vocals and guitar, Alex Uskuraitis on vocals, accordion, and keyboards, and Will Paynter on vocals, guitar, and harmonica. Their eclectic performances are marked by thought-provoking lyrics over steady rhythms and wandering exploratory solos. Recently, they released a 5-song EP titled “Run Come Tell” and are planning to record new material later this year.

The Collective is a group of talented local musicians who all played in other bands. The Collective was a side project for these friends and musical collaborators until they decided to record “Run Come Tell”, a rich tapestry of homegrown music show that showcases their songwriting, collaborative spirit and musical versatility. They are:
Alex Uskuraitis: An original member of the “Racous Brothers” and leader of “Lost Northern Tribe” (LNT), Alex plays vocals, accordion, and keyboards. LNT is a well-known jam band with a rotating lineup, described as "Roots Americana Gumbo" with a slice of honky tonk. Bob Veith: A talented bassist with Riddem Nation, a band blending reggae, rock, and funk. Bob's deep, groovy bass lines are a cornerstone of the band's energetic sound. Greg Brady: A recording engineer and musician based in Delaware County, Greg is known for his work at Smithbridge Studios and Studio 1311. He is also the founder and leader of “Soul Folk.” Jay Rice: A versatile guitarist with Friday Revival and Curb Alert. Jay's style blends rock, blues, and folk, creating a rich, dynamic sound that complements the band's eclectic mix. Rob Calarco: A dynamic drummer and key member of Shortwave. Rob's rhythmic precision and creativity blend rock, blues, and folk, providing a solid foundation for the band's music. Will Paynter: A self-taught musician whose music is influenced by Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, and others, Will has shared the stage with legends like Taj Mahal, Jorge Drexler, Los Lobos, David Poe and Corey Harris.
