If you’re like tens of thousands of music enthusiasts, this summer you will be heading to a gorgeous spot in Upper Salford Township, Pennsylvania with rolling hills and a natural amphitheater where the famedPHILADELPHIA FOLK FESTIVAL will be celebrating its 58th Anniversary, August 15th-18th, 2019 on the Old Pool Farm. The hills will quite literally come alive with the sound of music.
The Folk Festival continues to be a focal point for Philadelphia-area artists to showcase their talents and gain new legions of fans. This year, organizers are thrilled to announce that 32 Philadelphia Music Co-op members have been chosen to perform. “Every year, the bar is raised,” says, Festival and Programming Director, Lisa Schwartz. “These artists represent some of the very best in our local music community. They are incredibly talented, hard-working, gracious individuals, and I am so proud to have them join us at the Folk Festival.”
The Philadelphia Folksong Society’s Philadelphia Music Co-op works with area musicians to showcase, collaborate, and develop them as artists. Entering its eighth year, the Philadelphia Music Co-op now boasts nearly 100 incredible acts that deserve to be on everyone’s radar.
