Due to the constantly changing reality surrounding the global health crisis of COVID-19, the FIRST priority of the Society is the health and well-being of our community. Following the wild success of its first livestream with Mari Black on March 13, 2020, the Society has worked to to keep the music playing, lift spirits, and make sure the artists in our extended Folk Family can continue to live day to day. We all know music is a universal language and we will be utilizing it as we present artists local, regional, and international – old favorites and new discoveries – to a digital audience of music lovers from the comfort of their own homes!

HOW DOES IT WORK? PFS utilizes a signup form that upon completion and payment, you will receive a link to a private Facebook group for you to join. MAKE SURE YOU UTILIZE YOUR NAME AS IT APPEARS ON FACEBOOK AND YOUR FB EMAIL FOR EASE OF SIGNUP!
WHY FACEBOOK? Utilizing Facebook in a private concert group allows users around the world to host concert in the PFS Digital Concert Venue and allow music lovers to compensate artists for the concert! A private group insures that the link cannot be shared with those who are not paid participants supporting the artists, which is PFS’ main goal in starting the Digital Concert Venue. In addition, the video will live on forever allowing you to rewatch your favorite songs again and again!
I SIGNED UP FOR A CONCERT BUT I MISSED IT! NOW WHAT? The best part of the Digital Concert Venue is that if you are late or miss the concert entirely, you can watch it at your own pace and see the live audiences reactions/comments in real time like you were there the whole time.
WHAT IF THE CONCERT ISN’T LOADING PROPERLY ON MY INTERNET We understand that a lot of internet servers are overloaded right now. In the event that a concert isn’t streaming to your liking, we recommend taking it off LIVE. Even giving the concert a few seconds lead time can make a world of difference!
