The Carryons

The Carryons are a Philadelphia-based trio that plays original music combining Greek and Turkish folk sounds with American jazz. Each member's unique background and musical experiences come together to create unique moods that are at times haunting, at times frantic, navigating the vast space between middle-eastern and American folk music. The Carryons' first album was released in 2017. They are currently working on new musical material, new videos, incorporating electronics into their music, and working with guest artists. Besides this project the members of the band are also involved in jazz and funk music, theater, composition, and woodworking.
