Growing up in a household filled with songs and tunes, Molly Hebert-Wilson couldn’t help but grow into the musician and music lover that she is today. She spent her childhood in the wings of concerts, circling left at contradances, and learning folksongs while on tour with her mother, fiddler Donna Hebert. While studying Musical Theater at NYU, her fondest moments were at the Glucksman Ireland House on campus, singing with the Irish folk group. Music brought her to Philadelphia, where she has settled in comfortably and plays regularly with her band Rare Spirits, as well as teaching voice at the Philadelphia Folk School and the Great Groove Band at Fest. She is thrilled to join the Philadelphia Folksong Society team as Education and Membership Manager and looking forward to connecting even more with the Philadelphia music community.
