Eric has been attending the Philadelphia Folk Festival since the late 80’s with his wife Dalila. Their son Jeremy was practically raised at the Festival and their Folkstein encampment welcomes everyone to stop and stay awhile with some music, hooping and storytelling. Eric was honored in 2016 to be asked by the PFS board to fill a vacancy of a departing Director.
Eric and his wife were members of the first graduating class of the Philadelphia High School of Engineering & Science. He went on to earn a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Drexel University.
His professional career has journeyed across the technological, business and global landscape. He started as an engineer developing systems for the radio broadcast market, leading into the patenting of the first digital audio broadcast link. Later he became an executive running global R&D for one of the first companies to introduce RFID to the global retail and library markets. He has also worked as President, COO and CTO for a series of companies that have developed and manufactured hardware and software systems in the USA for a broad range of industries and clients.
Eric’s most recent venture has been as the Founder and President of Your Apps Company (http://www.yourappscompany.com), developing mobile and platform software that helps connect and grow public and private organizations & businesses with their constituents. He also runs a consultancy business with practices in intellectual property, technology, business innovation and product development.
Through his work, Eric has been named an inventor on 21 patents, with 22 further applications pending.
Eric loves to play the guitar (just don't ask him to sing) and can often be found sculling on the Schuylkill out of Vesper Boat Club where he enjoys training and masters racing.
Eric lives in Merion Station, PA with the love of his life Dalila. They both enjoy traveling, which is especially convenient with their son Jeremy now living in Japan.
