Voice Classes

Voice classes will be held IN PERSON, downstairs in the concert space at the PFS Venue located at 6156 Ridge Ave in Roxborough. Proof of Vaccination and ID will be required at the start of the session. Masks are voluntary and may be worn during class, but for obvious reasons may be difficult to use effectively while singing and/or obstruct singing. We will space out our students in the larger space as best we can.

 

IN PERSON Beginner Voice with Molly Hebert-Wilson (ages 13 and up)

Tuesdays, 5:45pm-6:30pm, January 17th – March 14th, 2023 (No Class February 14th)

Come improve your singing with Molly Hebert-Wilson! This beginner/intermediate class will cover breathing and support, how to sing without tension, expanding vocal range through learning how to use your chest, mix and head resonance, and how to connect to your material and the audience in performance.

IN PERSON Intermediate Voice with Molly Hebert-Wilson

Tuesdays, 6:45-7:30pm, November 15th – December 13th, 2022
(No class November 22nd)

This is a Mixed Level Intermediate class for those who have taken a full Voice class session before! We will continue working on expanding where our voices resonate in our body and reducing tension for a low stress, healthy, and fun singing experience!

Beginner II Voice Classes for Adults (ages 13 and up)

– Vocal Technique and Performance –
In this class, we will continue to build on what we learned in Beginner Voice. We will continue to develop our breathing skills, get comfortable singing in our head voice and our chest voice and learning how to differentiate and choose between them. We will also continue our work on singing free of tension and developing healthy habits when singing both inside and outside our comfort zone.

Singer Molly Hebert-Wilson has degrees in Irish studies and musical theater from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. An actress, musician, and vocalist, Molly’s vocal styles range from classical to powerhouse belting. Molly imbues Irish, French and English language songs with character and meaning. She is also a vocal coach, preparing children in the Great Groove Band for performance at Philly Folk and other festivals. A 2014 NERFA DJ pick, Molly’s outstanding voice is part of every song.  Molly also sings and plays upright bass for Philadelphia band, Rare Spirits.
