A Festival founder, Gene has emceed every evening concert since the very first and celebrates his 47th Festival with us this year. His Sunday radio show–now on WXPN 88.5 FM–continues to be a popular listening post for area folkies and a source of legendary interviews and impromptu jams. Gene writes and produces radio and TV commercials, serves on the Board of the Philadelphia Folksong Society, The American Composers Forum and is a Governor of NARAS (the Grammy Organization) Philadelphia chapter. In addition to his long running, Sunday night radio show on WXPN, Gene can now be heard on folkalley.com Saturday and Wednesday evenings from 5 to 7 pm (EDT). |
